Malù Cruz Piani was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and studied at Università degli Studi dell'Insubria, in Italy. Her art and painting shift between classical and narrative itineraries and minimalist and innovative experimentation. She is unique in her ability to combine the Latino-Brazilian-African culture of her origins with the European culture which she has perfectly assimilated. Having a particular sensibility to the symbolic sphere, Malù is able to identify in symbols the continuity which connects particularly expressive images from the traditional African world to images typical of the Mediterranean world.
